Descendants of Philip Bree

This tree, which was added to the site in 2012, before church records were available to us for checking, previously stopped with Philip at generation 3, but has been found to have contained several glaring errors. Most notably, Philip was shown as married to Susan Bree (1811- ) but that would have made her only 14 when their son Philip was born. Philip was shown as married to Elizabeth Bree, but his wife's maiden name was Norman. These generations have now been corrected, the tree extended upwards, and a new descendant line from Philip's brother Helier added

A further review in 2021 resulted in the addition of more details for the branch who lived at Fauvic Farm

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
