This substantial mid-19th century building has a unique, elaborate form in Victorian Gothic style, with fine stonework.

Asymmetric L-plan with octagonal tower. Hipped slate roofs with tall dressed granite chimneys to east gable and ridge to west. Rear central bay projects as three-storey octagonal tower at base of which is flat roofed entrance porch. Smaller arched windows at top of tower. In raised letters above the top window in left gable wall: 1852. Detached to west is greenhouse, with slate roof to north, large central chimney, glazed roof to south, glazed wall to west.
