An account can be found of both these wrecks under “The Wrecks of the Polka and of the Superb - A Jersey Captain’s Extraordinary Misfortunes”, in “Stories of Jersey Jersey Seas”, by Philip Ahier - a copy of which is held in the Societe Jersiaise library.

22. Shipwreck ‘Isabelle Northcote’ November 1872, at Ecrehos. Typescript from Chronique (English/French) - ref. to ‘The Dasher’ as well - see № 41.
