A corollary to the genealogist's nightmare...

...found from bitter experience: the fact that three generations of a family's sons were baptised with the same name does not mean that that was the name they were known by. Know what you mean. I am Michael James Bisson and called my first son Michael Paul Bisson. He was brought up and is know to the family as Paul. When he went to university he decided on a whim that he would become Michael, and is now known to everyone, as I am, as Mike
