This tree was added to the site in 2011. It has been reviewed on a number of occasions since, but extra details were not added until the further review in 2019.

This review cast doubt on the descent at generations 4-7, which has not been satisfactorily resolved by a further review in 2022. Please study the footnotes attached to each generation.

Record Search

If you want to search for records for any name in this family tree, or for any other family name, just click below on the first letter of the family name you are interested in. This will open a new tab in your browser giving you a list of family names beginning with that letter, for which there are baptism records in our database of half a million church and public registry records.

You can also select marriages or burials. Select the name you want and when the list of records is displayed you can easily refine the search, choosing a single parish, given name(s) and/or start and end dates.

The records are displayed 30 to a page, but by selecting the yellow Wiki Table option at the top left of the page you can open a full, scrollable list. This list will either be displayed in a new tab or a pop-up window. You may have to edit the settings of your browser to allow pop-up windows for www.jerripediabmd.net. For the small number of family names for which a search generates more than 1,500 records you will have to refine your search (perhaps using start or end dates) to reduce the number of records found.

Notes and references

  1. No record of this baptism found. The tree as originally submitted showed Jean's birth in 1652, as do many online trees. But his baptism is unlikely to have been before his parents' marriage. Other trees show his birth in 1661, but there is also no record of a baptism then. We believe that Jean was born in St Lawrence in 1659, the son of Jean, as shown in the church register
  2. No record of marriage found
  3. Elie Laurens, baptised in 1725 (not 1725 as previously shown) is shown in the register as the son of another Elie, not of Jean. The baptism record of the only likely candidate for this Elie shows him baptised in St Lawrence in 1701, the son of Elie and Marguerite Baudains. We have failed to find this record in the St Lawrence register but the CIFHS transcriptions include the baptism with the ambiguous note that Elie died the following day. It is not clear whether this refers to Elie the father, or his son. There is no corresponding burial record but if the father was also 'son of Elie' it would not necessarily help
