Although this line is being left here for the benefit of those who may have researched George James Duhamel, it has now been established that this George James Duhamel is not the same as the George James who married Mary Ann Newberry in 1874. The record of the Duhamel-Lovell marriage shows George as a bachelor born in 1860, the son of Charles Daniel Duhamel. Census records also confirm his birth in 1860, although no baptism record has been found
