The Jersey Modern School in Rouge Bouillon was seen by many affluent Jersey families as providing an ideal preparatory education for their sons before a later move to Victoria College. The school started life in Colomberie, moved to Janvrin Road and then to larger premises in Rouge Bouillon. It was one of Jersey's most successful private schools in the early 20th century.

Among those who attended the school were renowned scientist and La Société Jersiaise Membre d'Honneur Dr Arthur Mourant and the Rev Peter Manton, formerly Rector of St John and a Member of the States in the late 20th century.
