Listed building

Two-storey, five-bay house which is part of Hotel La Place. It has a refronted facade, unchamfered arch, chamfered windows and horizontal stone windows. The property also has east and west chimneys and fireplaces in the hall and parlour, both 18th century. McCormack highlights that there is a tourelle gap in the back wall. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. McCormack identifies the main build phases as 16th, 18th and 20th centuries.

Old Jersey Houses

A single paragraph in Volume Two notes the stone and says that the house must have passed by marriage from the De La Place to the Pipon family.

In the Appariement de St Brelade of 1796 the 16th Chef de Charette was Richard Pipon, probably the son of Jean and Francoise whose initials are on the datestone. All that remained in 1977 were some window lintels which could date from 1726.
