A notable example of a substantial and well executed early 19th century Jersey house, with a good survival of original features and integrity as a well built 19th century farm group in an impressive landscape setting.
The five-bay, three-storey house dates from 1805. The site appears on the Richmond map, and is known to have been farmed since 16th century, though limited evidence remains of the original property.
Two-storey press house to the east, walled garden in the west, L-shaped farm buildings to the north and pigsties and outbuildings on the east. The house emulates the polite architecture of Georgian fashion but with a continuing local character.
Stone arch over entrance with the date 1814. Brick arch over carriage entrance. Carriage entrance. Stone steps up to first floor door.
Interior has fine, original panelled doors and moulded fireplaces, and an exquisite spiral staircase.
