Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

An early 19th century rural house retaining its exterior character with high quality masonry work. Five-bay, two-storey with attic. The principal south-facing frontage displays high quality masonry work. The walls are pink ashlar granite, the main blocks interspersed with smaller blue stones; and the gable and chimneystacks are stone ashlar with moulded cornices. The lower wall courses and gable end are in more typical rubble granite.

The original gutters and fascia have been replaced with a narrower version, exposing a course of rougher granite above the window lintels, which would have originally been covered. Later windows, shutters, door and dormers.
