The Prince of Wales was a fully licensed residential hotel on the waters edge of one of Jersey’s most beautiful bays, situated in a commanding position with uninterrupted views of the island of Sark, the Paternosters and the French coast

According to the information on the back of this photograph, the date of which is unknown:

  • Terms, according to season
  • Full Board: 11-15 guineas per week
  • Bed, breakfast and dinner: 9-13 guineas per week
  • A deposit of £1 per head is requested
  • A reduction is made for children under ten years of age
  • A service charge of 10% is made on all terms quoted
  • The hotel is noted for its excellent food served in a delightful restaurant overlooking the sea
  • During the season musical entertainment is provided nightly in La Fiesta Bar. There is also a comfortable and intimate cocktail bar for residents’ use
  • The hotel is under the personal supervision of the resident manager, Lionel Watney
