Property name

Fauvic House

Location

Rue de Fauvic, Grouville

Type of property

Regency style country house

Valuations

Sold for £2.5 million and £1.85 million in 2012. The drop in price has not been explained, but the house was on the market again in 2025 for £3.5 million

Families associated with the property

  • Holley: The 1901 census records that Bienaime Pierre Holley (1846- ), a farmer born in Glatigny, France, was living here with his wife Delphine, nee Neel (1847- ) and their children Bienaime (1873- ), Charles (1878- ), Selina (1880- ) and Mabel (1889- ). We have not been able to fit this family into our existing Holley tree, but as that contains other immigrants to Jersey from Glatigny, it is likely that the two families were related
  • Filleul: In 1941 Mabel Julia Filleul (1881- ) was living here

Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

A very brief entry describes this striking house as a 'good example of a Regency style house retaining exterior character of streetscape value'.
