Historic Environment Record entry
Listed building
An unusual row of single-storey cottages, of 16th-19th century origins, which have no other comparable group in Jersey and are an element of vernacular architecture which is now rare. This row of buildings is shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. The group retains historic character, and the scale and proportions of this rare survival sits well in the valley setting. Historic stonework features remain.
The westernmost, now called Lambelle, has four asymmetric bays. It is the latest in the row, built circa 1850. Slate roof with brick chimney on west gable.
Adjoining is a three-bay cottage - the earliest first mentioned in 1614. The walls have an external batter towards the base. Original granite chimney, with thatching stones, on west gable; brick chimney on east gable.
Adjoining cottages to east of 17th century origins. Walls stone rubble with dressed stone doors and brick dressed windows. No interior historic features except stone corbels and joggle stones on east and west gables of centre west section.

Notes and references
- ↑ No explanation has been found as to why a row of cottages should have been built over a prolonged period in a very isolated island valley
