A good example of mid-19th century house retaining original features and character, including veranda. Four-bay, two-storey detached property with single-bay wings on each side - single storey on the left and two-storey on the right.

Notes and references

  1. The name would suggest a house within view of the parish church, which would have been called 'the temple' at a certain point in history. This is not the case, however. The house has a view of Faldouet Dolmen, so perhaps its name is an allusion to the time when such prehistoric remains were known as Druid temples
  2. It was unusual to see the size of his holding shown in vergees, because normally the UK controlled census used acres
